I Did It!

Wow,
I just sat here and told my husband, "This is going to be interesting, I haven't done anything like this since Live Journal!" Not to mention, I did that in high school six years ago. Oh well, I guess I am off to a good start? I have completed the first couple assignments so far, but I do get really stressed out when it comes to computer classes. I am always afraid I will screw something up and then get points deducted. Anyways, I am teaching right for now in a substitute maternity leave position. I hope I can juggle all of this this semester! Wish me luck, and good luck to all my peers for a successful semester!

I think this would be a wonderful way for students to write however in school. There is a teacher at my school who has her third graders blogging each morning to a specific topic. This would go hand in hand with the West Virginia Content Standard of:

21C.S.PK-2.1 The student will access, analyze, manage, integrate, evaluate, and create information in a variety of forms using appropriate technology skills and communicate that information in an appropriate oral, written, or multimedia format.

21C.S.PK-2.2 The student will demonstrate the ability to explore and develop new ideas, to intentionally apply sound reasoning processes and to frame, analyze and solve complex problems using appropriate technology tools.
