OK, So this took me a while! I had trouble figuring this out, but I finally got it! :) Ok, so I am working on a Science Unit in school and we are starting to study the Solar System. SO, I decided this would be the perfect opportunity to use this. I went to google and looked under images for a map of the planets. I found one under mapsharing.org. I used the (fn) key and the (prtsc) button to capture the image. I then opened paint and pushed (ctrl) and (v) to paste it to the screen. I played around some and put the letters MVEMJSUN on the picture for "My Very Excellent Mother Just Served Us Nachos" for the order of the planets starting at the sun. When I was finished playing around my SOLAR SYSTEM picture was saved as a .JPEG and was 87.4 KB and had the dimensions of 1024x576.
I would definately use this in a class because it is a great way to provide the students with notes and cover the content standard of:
21C.S.PK-2.2 The student will demonstrate the ability to explore and develop new ideas, to intentionally apply sound reasoning processes and to frame, analyze and solve complex problems using appropriate technology tools.
It is easier to fill out this picture and print it with all the information as to where the image came from, then trying to find a picture that already has all the information on it that you may need. This would definitely be a great study guide for any second grade student or teacher working with this solar system unit in science.
